About Our Owner
Jonathan Smith, the owner of Bright Leaf Landscaping, moved to Durham in 2002 after completing his BS in Horticulture from Delaware Valley College in Pennsylvania. He accepted a position at Durham's Sarah P. Duke Gardens, where he worked on installation and maintenance projects, taught classes, and constructed displays for the North Carolina State Fair and The National Botanical Garden. With his extensive experience and passion for landscaping, Jonathan leads the Bright Leaf Landscaping team in creating beautiful and functional outdoor living spaces for our clients.
