Our Story
Node Landscape Design LLC was founded by Roxanne Andersen, a landscape architect and permaculture designer with over 25 years of experience in gardening in the Bay Area. With a degree in Landscape Architecture from Merritt College and a Permaculture Design Certificate, Roxanne has a deep understanding of the unique microclimate of the East Bay and vast knowledge of edible and ornamental plants.

Design Services
Our complete landscape design package includes a thorough design process resulting in hardscape and planting plans that can be taken to a landscape contractor for installation. The process involves significant input from the client, including multiple site visits and client meetings. Our fees for complete landscape designs typically range from $2,000 to $4,000.
A La Carte Design Services
Perhaps you only need to re-landscape a small portion of your property or need a planting plan for an existing garden bed? Or maybe you're starting a DIY project and could use a base map of your property or a plant palette? Our a la carte design services are available, with fees ranging from $300 to $1,500.
Landscape Consultations
If you're unsure where to begin or have a list of specific questions, our consultation service may be the perfect solution. This in-person consultation at your home lasts about 1.5 hours and includes a follow-up email with key points from the discussion and links to resources as needed. The fee for a consultation visit is $220.
Our Expertise
With over 25 years of experience gardening in the Bay Area, Roxanne has developed a deep understanding of the local climate and a vast knowledge of edible and ornamental plants. Her own garden, featured in the Bay Friendly Garden Tour, showcases a wide array of edibles from tomatoes to bananas and is her research lab for testing ornamentals from around the world.

The term "Node" is inspired by the concept of a point in a network or diagram where lines or pathways intersect or branch. It also refers to the part of a plant stem from which one or more leaves emerge. This represents our approach to landscape design, where we believe that multiple elements come together to create a harmonious and beautiful space.
