Redenta's is named after Ruth's aunt, Redenta, a nun in Siena, Italy, whose European influences shaped Ruth's love for plants. Our goal is to continue Ruth's legacy by inspiring and empowering modern-day gardeners with her timeless wisdom.

Our History

Established in 1992 by Ruth Kinler, Redenta's Garden has evolved into more than just a retail space. In 2022, Redenta's was purchased by Dawna and Will Schmidt who are committed to preserving the legacy of Ruth's dedication to fostering a deeper connection with nature. While our roots are planted in the past, our gaze is fixed firmly on the future, as we continue to inspire and empower modern-day gardeners with Ruth's timeless wisdom.

In 2011, Redenta's introduced the original "potting bar" in DFW - the Design Bar. Our team of plant lovers will help you create unique and beautiful succulent arrangements for your coffee table, large outdoor containers for your front porch, and everything in between. We are dedicated to ensuring your plants get nestled into their new homes properly and sharing our knowledge in caring for your plants, so you may enjoy their beauty for years to come.
