Our Story
At King's Gardens, our history dates back to 1993 when Steve King, after working for Hillenmeyer Nurseries for several years, knew he wanted to own his own garden center. Alongside his wife, Joanne, and their three children, Jessica, Wesley, and Becca, they purchased the former Binford's Garden Center/Hillenmeyers in Danville, Kentucky. The family renamed the garden center, Stonegate Gardens, after the two stone columns at the entrance. It was here that the King children learned the art of gardening, from watering and weeding to potting and pruning annuals and perennials. Unfortunately, the Kings had to close the Stonegate Gardens in 2003.

Trees & Shrubs
At King's Gardens, we pride ourselves on our selection of high-quality trees and shrubs, sourced from some of the best growers in the industry. Our guarantee policy includes a 3-year guarantee on trees and shrubs purchased at full price and planted by us, and a 1-year guarantee for plants purchased from us but not planted by our team. From shade and flowering trees to beautiful hydrangeas and crape myrtles, we have the perfect plants to enhance your outdoor space. Our knowledgeable staff is always happy to guide you in selecting the perfect trees and shrubs for your garden.
Annuals & Perennials
