Our Story

Our journey began with Mike Cecchini, a botany student at Chico State, who founded his first company, Creative Greenery, while still in his early twenties. As his passion for working with nature's beauty grew, he expanded his business into interior and exterior landscaping. In 1984, he sold his company and returned to his family roots in Orange County, where he founded The Foliage Group in 1985. The firm's early success was marked by a partnership with the Irvine Company, followed by model home communities, residential projects, and commercial accounts.
