Our Story

Door Landscape & Nursery has been a cornerstone of the Door County community for over two decades, cultivating beautiful and sustainable landscapes since 1999. Our journey began when Clifford Orsted, a seasoned landscape professional, brought his passion for natural design from California to the shores of Lake Michigan. Firmly believing in the harmony between human environments and the local ecosystem, he established his company with a clear vision: to create landscapes that not only enhance property values but also enrich the biodiversity of Door County. This mission resonated deeply with the community, and over the years, Door Landscape & Nursery earned a reputation for excellence in sustainable ecological landscaping.

In 2022, Tim Duquaine took the helm as Vice President and General Manager, carrying forward the legacy of innovation and environmental responsibility. Today, we stand as a testament to our commitment to creating thriving ecosystems within our clients' landscapes, showcasing the beauty and resilience of native plant communities.

Our Native Nursery & Garden Center

We are passionate about sharing our knowledge of native plants with the community. Our on-site nursery is open from May 1st to October 31st, brimming with a wide selection of native plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers. Our knowledgeable staff can help you choose the perfect plants for your unique landscape and provide expert advice on their care.
