Apex Landscaping
Apex Landscaping was formed in 1991 as a way for a high school freshman to make extra money in the summer. Operating out of a cube van for several seasons, Apex purchased their first truck in 1995 and hired their first employee in 1996. What began as a single route of local homes slowly expanded to presently include areas from Kenosha, WI to the north and Bolingbrook, IL to the south, reaching from the shores of Lake Michigan westward to Elgin, IL.
Our Story
In 2003, Apex moved to a space in Northbrook which allowed the company to house bulk material and provide room for further growth. Over the course of the next 4 years, Apex grew to 22 trucks, 10 crews, and 4 full-time staff members. In 2007, Apex moved again allowing on-site fuel, garages, several offices, workshops, and holding space for annuals and other plant material. Two crews were added upon moving to this location. In 2008, Apex Landscaping grew to a full-service landscaping company overseeing construction projects, many over $10,000, and offering full maintenance services for residential, commercial, and multi-family communities. In 2011, Apex Landscaping became a member of the American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA).
