At Outdoor Classic Structures, we are a general contracting firm with a rich history of providing creative, functional outdoor construction and landscape services that encourage clients to interact with their natural environment. For over five decades, our principals have provided residential and commercial clients with Middle Tennessee's highest-end hardscape design-build services available. Our headquarters are located in the heart of downtown Franklin, Tennessee, in a historic cottage listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Our Story

Our owner and president, Nikki Schmidt, has spent her entire career in the design industry. With over 20 years of experience, she joined our team in 2012. Nikki's expertise in hardscape design and project management reflects her interior design experiences with an exclusive tile and stone company. She prides herself in creating exterior living spaces that mirror her clients' interior design elements.

Our team also includes Ron Fries, our superintendent, who has over 40 years of construction experience. Ron has completed numerous continuing education seminars in specialties such as lighting, interlocking concrete paver, and segmental retaining wall installations.
