Bon Terra Landscapes Inc. is a premier, design-build residential landscape company based in Corte Madera, Marin County, CA. Our team comprises professional landscape designers, architects, and construction crews who are dedicated to creating beautiful landscapes. We specialize in designing and installing residential properties, including large and small gardens, modern, drought-tolerant, and native gardens.

As a licensed contractor, we offer a wealth of experience and expertise in all phases of professional landscape design and construction. Our services include landscape design, decks, hardscape, water features, concrete and masonry patios, walkways, retaining walls, planting plans, irrigation, synthetic turf, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, arbors, and lighting.

Our unique design approach incorporates the client's vision with creative design solutions. Computer-aided drafting combined with artistic hand rendering produces creative plans that assist the client in visualizing the design concepts and ideas. We provide accurate, realistic, and competitive estimates based on your specific design needs.

Meet Our Founders

Bon Terra Landscapes Inc. was founded by Johnny Fort and Lisa Sechser. Johnny graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Urban Design and from UC Berkeley with a Certificate in Landscape Architecture. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and enjoys bringing garden concepts to reality.

Lisa graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BS in Accounting and a BA in Business. Her management experience comes from producing TV commercials prior to entering into the landscape profession. Many years in landscape design and construction combined with environmental restoration and planning have helped make Bon Terra Landscapes Inc. a successful landscape company in Marin County.

Our Process

Our design process begins with an initial consultation where our designer will meet on-site for 1-2 hours to discuss the client's needs and obtain project-specific information. There is a $100 fee consultation fee, payable at the end of the visit.

After the initial consultation, the client will be presented with a design agreement based on the project's needs. A plan will then be presented as a tool for visualizing the concept. The plan will then be used as an initial framework for future revisions and design refinements, as needed, to achieve the final plan.

Once the final design is accepted by the client and both parties have decided to move forward into the next phase, Bon Terra Landscapes Inc. will produce a detailed cost estimate that will specify the scope of work and the associated costs.
